Festival overview

Under the patronage of the Mayor of Town Vranov n.T.

Non-competitive choral festival for all age limits.
The choirs from Slovakia and from foreign countries are invited to take part in the festival.
The concerts take place in the Culture House and in churches in Vranov nad Topľou, in Hanušovce n.T., in village Sedliská, and in other towns and villages of the Vranov nad Topľou region.

The members of choirs pay for accommodation and full board (80 EUR / stay / person).
Accommodation and board are offered in the Holiday Centre in Juskova Voľa, SOUP accommodation (80 EUR), or in PATRIOT Hotel in Vranov n.T. (120 EUR).
The twin choirs (reciprocal exchange with children and youth choir Ozvena) do not pay any festival fees.
Within the festival, participants take part in seminar, workshop, common meetings of choir members, discussion evening for conductors, managers and guests, visit of museum and castle, and acceptance by the Mayor of town Vranov nad Topľou.
The choirs will prepare for the gala-concert the common composition by Eugen Suchoň “Aká si mi krásna” (the scores can be downloaded below or sent by e-mail).

14.00 Acceptance of the guests by Mayor of town Vranov nad Topľou.
15.00 Procession of choirs and ensembles from the square of town Vranov nad Topľou.
15.30 Opening of the Day of Vranov nad Topľou.
18.30 Festival concert in Greek Catholic Church in Vranov nad Topľou, Juh.
After concert Discussion evening and meeting of conductors and managers in Holiday Centre in J. Voľa.

9.30 Workshop for conductors and guests in the Cinema of Cultural House Vranov n.T.
12.00 Trip to the castle Čičva and short singing in the castle, visit of the Crypt of family Barkózy under the castle.
15.00 Festival concert in amphitheatre under castle in Sedliská.
18.00 Gala-concert in Greek Catholic Church Vranov nad Topľou (8-10 minutes each choir).
20.30 Party for choirs, conductors and guests.

Morning In the morning - singing of choirs during holy masses in Vranov and villages - voluntary.
