Festival overview

Under the patronage of the Mayor of the Town of Vranov n.T., with financial contribution of the Fund for Arts and the Town of Vranov nad Toplou.

Non-competitive choral festival with international participation for all age groups.
Choirs from Slovakia and abroad are invited to participate.
Concerts take place in the Culture House, churches in Vranov nad Topľou, a church in Sedliská, and villages in the Vranov region.

Choir members pay for accommodation and full board (100 EUR / person / 3 nights).
Accommodation and board are offered in the hostel of the Middle Vocational School (100 EUR including participation fee).
Twin choirs (reciprocal exchange with the children and youth choir Ozvena) do not pay festival fees.
Within the festival, participants join seminars, workshops, joint choir meetings, and a discussion evening for conductors, managers, and guests, including a museum/castle visit and reception by the Mayor of Vranov nad Topľou.
Choirs should prepare the joint gala-concert composition by Eugen Suchoň: “Aká si mi krásna” (scores can be downloaded below or sent by email).

10.00 Workshop for singers, conductors and guests in the Cinema of Cultural House Vranov n.T.
13.00 Trip to the castle Čičva, short singing in the castle, visit of the Crypt of family Barkózy under the castle.
18.00 Gala-concert in Greek Catholic Church Vranov nad Topľou.
20.30 Party for choirs, conductors and guests in place of accommodation.
